Talent Unlimited - TU - is a community of artists expressing themselves in a unique and special place.  Artists find each other and choose to live and work together in communities all over the world, with the unspoken understanding that the creative and intellectual energy that is central to their lives is nurtured by working with kindred spirits. Not only does this enable them to grow as artists, but all aspects of their lives are enhanced by the experience.  Central to  such communities is tolerance for the beliefs and creativity of others, and discipline & collaboration as a way of life.

   Principal's  Statement ...

Talent Unlimited High School - TU - Is a creative community resource. Students begin with innate talent, and come from all five boroughs to become part of the TU family that allows them to grow in new and exciting ways.  The school culture is vibrant and rich, drawing from a tradition of excellence for over 25 years. This history, along with an ongoing commitment to staff and student collaboration, has brought us to this moment in time where creativity, commitment and collaboration converge in the learning environment.

Students follow rigorous, sequential curricula, over a four year period, that give them a strong foundation for college and career:

• Majors in the Performing Arts - Dance, Drama, Instrumental & Vocal Music & Musical Theater - taught by teachers who are professional performers and passionate about their work.
• Regents based and Advanced Placement courses, taught by a staff who collaborates to ensure that attention is given to the individual learning styles and creativity of their students.
• Interdisciplinary projects, coordinated by EPIC Theatre Center artists who work with every grade to promote the development of citizen artists.
• Courses that fulfill New York State learning requirements and go beyond.

Since the essence of the TU experience cannot be captured by a lisitng of courses, description of programs, or even tickets to some of our performances, I hope that snapshots of students' experiences may help the reader understand the magic that happens when a student spends four years in this wonderful place.
